The unit aims to advance attendees' knowledge of the nature and spiritual dimension of mental illness and to offer pastoral approaches to care from a spiritual perspective.

Analysis of contemporary issues in mental and health will provide context for attendees to address the ethical, social, religious, and spiritual factors involved.

The unit aims to advance attendees' knowledge of the biblical, theological, and personal foundations of Christian leadership.

Analysis of various models of pastoral leadership, especially team leadership, will assist attendees to evaluate the relationship between the spiritual leader and those served by leadership and to create a working model for self-leadership development within their own faith community.
