Master of Arts

Master of Arts (2025)

The Master of Arts course is designed for those who hold a one-year graduate qualification in a theological discipline, such as the Graduate Diploma of Arts, who wish to pursue a further qualification in theology as part of their continuing education for ministry. The award provides a study of theological and ministry related disciplines and includes a mandatory research project.

Entry Requirements

An applicant for admission to candidature for the Master of Arts will: 
have completed a one-year AQF Level 8 award in the discipline of theology or ministry. (Priority will be given to those articulating from the Graduate Diploma of Arts.)

English Proficiency

An applicant’s entry qualification must have been taught in English. Entry may also require a minimum IELTS (or equivalent) score of 7.0 in all bands of the test.

International Students

Sparrows College is not currently registered for international students.

Exit Point

Not applicable; the Graduate Diploma is an entry requirement for the award.

Articulation

Students are eligible to articulate to a Master of Divinity, or to the Master of Philosophy, providing a minimum distinction grade is achieved for the 18 cps research project.
